North Las Vegas man wanted driver who crashed his car, Metro report says – Fox 5 Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A North Las Vegas man is accused of beating a driver who crashed his car into a wall, according to a Metro Police report.

FOX5 has obtained a report of Timothy Crane’s arrest. Las Vegas police charged him with attempted murder.

The incident happened on the afternoon of October 21 in the northwest valley. Police said the victim was driving Crane’s Dodge recklessly on N. Fort Apache Road.

The victim was performing donuts until he crashed into a wall. LVMPD says Crane would later find his car with an air tag and get angry.

Surveillance video from a witness showed Crane beating the driver, knocking him to the ground and continuing to beat him.

The video showed the victim not moving. Crane would then pick him up and drag him down the street.

Then the witness called the police and reported the incident.

When the police arrived, they found the doge. Police learned the car was registered to Crane.

When police confronted Crain about the incident, he told police he got into an argument with the driver of the car, but did not identify the driver because he “didn’t want his friend to get in trouble.”

Crain declined to comment.

Police will canvass the area where the car crashed and look for another witness. The witness said he, along with the victim and Crain were coaches. He told police that after the fight, Crane dragged the victim into a house.

When the police confronted Crane again, he was arrested. Crane told police he took the victim to UMC for his injuries.

Police confirmed the victim is recovering at UMC from a fractured skull. Crane declined to speak further with police and asked for an attorney.

A preliminary hearing for Crain is scheduled for January 28, 2025.
