Baton Rouge – No. 7 LSU won against 13 Oklahoma 107-100 in a big SEC match on Thursday night.
Oklahoma led the LSU 23-20 after the first quarter, but the 32-point second quarter and 31 points a third quarter gave them a lead.
More special, LSU and Oklahoma fell into a match in the first quarter and the referees ruled it. Sa’myah Smith and LSU Liz Scott have been thrown away and will not have the right to play in their next game.
Oklahoma’s head coach, Jenny Barancik, received a technical foul in the second quarter. LSU’s Aalyah del Rosario also received a technical foul in the third quarter, and the chief coach Kim Bully was served technology in the fourth quarter.
Each team went to the free throwing line over 30 times, as both teams combined for over 50 fouls.
Michael Williams led the Tigers in scoring 37 points at 12-20 field goals, including going 7 out of 12 to three points, with seven rebounds and five assists.
The tigers came out of their decline, shooting 52.2% of the floor and 46.7% of the three -point line. They also scored the most points in the history of the program in the SEC game.
However, the turnover did not perform well against the Oklahoma press allowed SOONERS to catch up near the end of the game.
The tigers managed to break down the shots when they were the most important to keep their lead and eventually get the victory to improve to 7-1 in SEC PLAY.
LSU plays Mississippi at 1:00 pm on February 2.
