“The thing for me, which has become obvious, is that we are just offensive,” Ralph said. “It was felt that we stopped moving with the way they play defensive, aggressive, and going into the passing sails, their pressure created some problems.”

Texas kept Vanderbilt to only 38.2% firing and really stabbed him from the back arc, going two out of 11.

Hamil Pierre looked different between the two halves

From the first half to the second, Camille Pierre looked like a different player.

In the first half, Pierre had only four points, making two of his eight attempts.

The attacker must have found a spark out from the dressing room as she had a very effective final 20 minutes of play.

“I thought she moved a little better without the ball, especially in the third quarter. She communicated better in defense and did better work to stay between her player and the basket,” Ralph said. “I felt that she reached the second half with a different approach. She was more to play. She played a little stronger and played a little more with her team.”

In the second half, Pierre had 22 points and knocked one of the 3-stories of the two teams.

The sophomor finished the game with 26 points, seven rebounds and one theft.

Chao and last section week are crucial

Commodors have only six regular SEC games left. Sitting at 5-5 in a league game, these next weeks are very important.

They have a week and they will not play on Sunday. The next match will be on Thursday, February 13, when Mississippi is coming to a memorial.

Until then, Ralph wants to use the holiday moment as an opportunity to understand what went wrong in the last two games.

“I think the things that are coming to us right now are consistently some of the things we have struggled with at one time comes in a great time.”
