NFL’s April project will again be a huge excitement generator for the upcoming football season, as several of the best college matches make a professional jump.
The five group can be quite well represented on the first day of the draft, with three names constantly appearing in a layout of amateurs and professionals: Ashton Jeanty by Boise State, Shavon Revel from East Carolina and Mike Green of Marshall. In addition to being the first round talents, all three of these players could find new homes in NFC North.
Jeanty, the runner-up of last season for Heisman Trophy, is the most likely candidate to break through the top ten. Bears in Chicago, who have No. 10 as a whole selection, could potentially use a strong running back to remove some of the pressure of the second year of defender Caleb Williams. This is the choice that Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports in his first round layout released this week. The bears were not one of the better fast teams in the League in 2024, carrying 431 times for 1734 yards.
