Renault turned into a dominant performance in Reed’s victory, 65-43, in a basketball for girls on Friday. This victory, along with the victory of the Huskies 59-41 over Spanish Springs a week earlier, moved Renault to the first place in the weekly basketball chart for RGJ girls.
The northern valleys continue to impress. The Panthers broke the school record for most consecutive wins with their 14th as soon as Fernley, 51-48, on January 27.
Renault Julie Ripingham coach said her players are learning to trust and rely on their teammates more as they gain experience.
She said they put the team first.
“Energy comes from each of them that flows to each other,” he said. “Winning changes a lot and changes a lot of attitudes. The children who go down our bench shows up and want to make our appetizers better because it makes them better. “
Only two weeks and 3-4 games remain for most teams, as the fight for playof sowing is reduced to the wire in the regular season.
The 4A-North regional is set for February 10-15. The regional championship is at 3 pm February 15 in Spanish Springs.
Only the winning team of the 4A-North regional tournament receives a place in the state this year. South 4A teams receive three beds in the state tournament.
