New Era for Durham Women FC after swallowing – Bdaily News

Football Club for Female Northeast entered a new chapter after a change in property and the introduction of a new advice.

Durham Women FC, previously owned by Durham University, is now the co-ownership of Club Lig Sanders and the long-term congregation Dawn Hep.

This move is ready to drive a “significant investment” on the pitch and off the pitch and to help the team, which is currently in fourth place in the women’s championship, to “reach new heights”.

They are joined by investors Patrick and Francis Konoli, longtime supporters of the club, who became shareholders.

Connollys, who collected nearly 115 million British pounds at Euromillions in 2019, have extensive business experience in production, hospitality and charity sectors, strengthening the club within short to average, while looking for an additional investment to continue future expansion.

Lee said, “We are glad to finalize this change in property, the first stage of which is a welcoming Patrick and Francis.

“They were incredible supporters of the football club and we will work closely with them in the next stage of investment.

“This move will also allow us to attract further significant investments in the team, staff, infrastructure and the longer-term facility for the football club.

“As one of only two independent clubs in the professional game of women, it is exciting to think where this next stage of our journey will take us.”

Patrick and Francis added: “We were incredibly impressed with the dedication of Durham Zheny FC on both the pitch and the community, and for several years we have been huge supporters for several years.

“Our family has always participated in women’s football because our daughters played for Hartlepool St Francis, where we first met Lee at the level.

“We are now excited that we have a bigger role in helping Durham Women FC to reach new heights in order to provide a sustainable future and inspire the next generation of female athletes.”
