New B&G Milkyway Shop Opening in the South South Dakota Soon – ESPN SIOUX FALLS

Good news South Dakota B&G Milkyway fans! The iconic ice cream spot is expanding! But this new location will not be in Sioux Falls.

Officials with B&G Milkyway have made an exciting Facebook post about a new place, which will soon be opened in a small town of South Dakota, located 70 miles from Siu Waterfall.

B&G Milkyway will open a store this spring in town … Mitchell! Soon this city will be home to “The only corn palace in the world” and B&G Milkyway! This will be the tenth B&G Milkyway in the Sioux Empire.

The old-fashioned South Dakota Drive-In opened in 1954 on the Western 12th Street in Sioux Falls, originally known as the Milky Way. In the mid-1960s, the owner sold Bertha and Guy Higgins. Since then, B&G Milkyway has only grown!

Their menu has different treats to choose from, such as immersed cones, avalanches, malt and more! B&G Milkyway also offers food if you want to have dinner before dessert. Some foods listed on the menu include the foot, chili cheese and pizza burgers. I’m excited, I’m just thinking about the delicious ice cream and of course … a warmer weather!

So when will the new B&G Milkyway open in Mitchell along with all places? Officials with B&G Milkyway have not yet announced any opening dates. But B&G Milkyway employees say the dates will be announced “soon”. Until then, young adults are encouraged to apply for summer jobs with B&G Milkyway on any of their places.
