New basketball goals, flooring approved for the Stormont Vail Event Center – Wibw

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – New Basketball Goals and Modular Sports Flooring come to the Stormont Vail Event Center in Topeka, making the way to various events that will take place at the facility.

At their meeting on Thursday morning, Shawni County County Commissioners, Bill Riphan, and Aaron Mace voted unanimously for the superstructures.

The approval came in response to requests from the Stormont Vail Event Center.

• The price for two new goals for hydraulic basketball from ATHCO was indicated at $ 55,000, with funds coming from the capital expenditure funds for 2025.

The new hydraulic goals – which will be set up in Landon Arena – will be suitable for events such as Harlem Globetrotters shows in addition to youth, high school and college basketball games.

• The price for the modular flooring was indicated at $ 296,044, while the Landon Arena basketball project was indicated at $ 44,800.

The modular flooring will be available for use in both the exhibition hall and the Landon Arena at the Stormont Vail Event Center.

During the Thursday meeting, the general manager of the Stormont Vail Event Center, Kalen, said that up to 13 youth basketball courts could be placed in the exhibition hall at one time when there is a new flooring. Other events that could use the new flooring include volleyball and urinary games.

In other actions at the Thursday meeting, the commissioners approved:

• Resolution of the Rules for the Home for the Establishment of the Committee on Property and Insurance of Vehicles of Showney County.

• A request of the management of the facilities to issue a request for the installation of new screens for landscaping, irrigation and equipment in the courtroom of the District of Showney.

• Management of the production application facilities to replace the water softener and the water heater in the kitchen at the MAner Conference Center, with funding from the MAner Conference Center Support Fund.

• The request of the management of the facilities to issue a request for a proposal to replace the existing roof of the Judicial Chamber of the Shawney County with funding from the roof and parking lot.

• The request of the Ministry of Corrections to choose the most responsive offer for various prisoners purchases during the fiscal 2025.

• The request of information technology for payment of payment of the year 2 of ThinkGard LLC to buy a disaster backup and recovery services for $ 119,700.00.
