Nevada’s men’s basketball team (11-9, 3-6) has released their third straight game in a conference game, falling 66-56 on the road against Boise State Broncos (13-7, 5-4) on Wednesday, January 29.

The package struggles to find its rhythm early, missing its first five shot attempts in the first seven minutes, which left them to abandon 8-1. Attacker Nick Davidson ended the land with the first trip indicator of the team, speeding up.

In the next possession, guard Tyler Rollison crossed a pass from Boise State Tyson Degenhart striker, creating a three-narrator from striker Justin McBride to reduce the deficit to 8-7 by 12:29, left in the first half.

Both teams traded baskets until the end of the half, with Davidson running a seven -point package.

Although only four at half behind, Nevada struggles offensively, scoring only five field goals at 25 percent firing (5-20.) However, 11 made free throws at their disposal. The turnover remained a problem as the eight package of the package led to 12 points for Broncos.

Nevada’s firing struggles continued in the second half, while the defense gaps left too much space for Boise State. The bronze took advantage of seizing three early triangers. Attacker Javan Buchanan scored seven straight points by closing running through the heart of Nevada’s defense by pushing the package deficit to 41-31 with the remaining 14:12.

Boise State kept Nevada off the rest of the game, leading with a whole 16 points before handing over the 66-56 loss package. Davidson led the team with 18 points and four rebounds, graduating as the only Nevada player in double digits. After managing only 15 field goals in his previous match against San Diego, the package improved slightly by shooting 40 percent (17-42) from the pitch.

Nevada’s losses continued to grow and the same expensive mistakes have been repeated in the last three games. Although it remains competitive in the first half, the package lacked the physics needed to maintain closely contested conference matches. Each time an opponent compiled results, Nevada struggles to regain the offensive rhythm, which led to the missed triplets and rpm.

With his seventh loss to Mountain West opponent, Nevada is a loss of conference away from the coincidence of their total number of losses (8) from last year.

Nevada’s chief basketball coach Steve Alford pointed out the lack of strength of the team as a mental and physical area that the package should be improved quickly.

“This is not only energy and the ability to concentrate, but also the strength,” Alford said. “We must be able to play by bumping and missing shots”

The next package challenge will be at home as they take on UnlV’s competing rebels (11-10, 5-5) on Saturday, February 1, at 7:00 pm
