Nevada drops third straight into 66-56 loss on the road to Boise State – Mountain West Connection

Nevada was once 4-0 to start the season and 6-1 in its first seven. After his third right loss tonight against Boise State in a 66-56 game, the package is now only one game from dropping out to a uniform .500 recording.

After losing last weekend to San Diego, chief coach Steve Alford said they were losing “almost in any way you can lose” after Thanksgiving. After winning three directly to the lower feeders of the conference, Nevada finds herself at the other end of three games.

Nevada 32 – Boise State 38

Insult

Both crimes began slowly, with Nevada being somehow more slow. The Wolf package had only one point in the first five minutes of the game and struggled to find a rhythm in the bigger part of the first half.

Nevada managed to enter the half with only four, and this is even more impressive, given how bad he played Nevada in the first half. The package fired only 25 percent of the terrain and 27 percent of three.

Nevada also turned the ball over eight times in the first half and a total of 15. Attack Nick Davidson, who led the team on points with 18 points and four boards, also led the team in the turnover with four.

The package only had a lead for a total of 55 seconds, which was 1-0 lead to start the game. Nevada never managed to catch up afterwards, with their biggest running was the beginning of 6-0.

In general, Nevada fired 40.5 percent of the terrain and 33.3 percent of three. The team also fired 66.7 percent of the free throws, but the second half misses the injured Nevada’s chance on return, leaving only 5-11.

Protection

The disappointing part of this loss of Nevada is how similar they filmed Boyz State and Nevada. Broncos went 40.8 percent of the terrain, 32 percent of three and 69.2 percent of the free throw line.

The main difference was how Boise State made mistakes. From the 15th turn of Nevada, Boyz State scored 16 points. Three Broncos players also reached double -digit points, with striker Javan Buchanan running Boise State with 19.

Nevada’s defense managed to calm Boise State for a little while, forcing a four -minute broncos drought at the end of the second half. Unfortunately for the package, their crime failed to take advantage, which allowed Boise State to get out of funk and seal the victory.

What’s next

Nevada dropped to 11-10 in total and 3-7 in MW with this loss. The package will return to the Lawlor events center on Saturday, February 1st from 7:00 pm for the Silver State series against UNLV. The rebels are also a total of 11-10 with a record of 5-5 conference.
