Elizabeth Betty Marie Gilbert

Skowhegan – Elizabeth Betty Marie Gilbert, 87 -year -old, died on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Cedar Ridge nursing home in Skowhegan.

Betty was born in Cornville on November 11, 1937, daughter of Juliet (Lesard) and Philip P. TheBarge. She attends schools in the Skowhegan area. Betty married, raised four of her children and chased about six grandchildren. It was her full -time job, she kept her very busy, and she loved her more than anything.

Betty was glad to travel with her close friend Bob and their dog friend. They have been members of the Maine Wheels RV camping club for many years. Betty loved lunches with her girlfriends and bingo evenings. She was a member of the auxiliary eagles.

She loved music, met with new people, tried new foods, shopping with her daughters, reading and walking. She did not like unstable beds, holy jeans, snakes and piles of unfolded laundry. Betty had a beautiful smile that lit the room and her laugh was unsurpassed.

She was preceded by her parents; Satellite, Bob Ames; two children, Marie Scott and Stephen Gilbert; Sister, Telma Tebarzh and Brothers Robert Tebarj, David Terge and Joseph Lesard.

Betty has survived from her daughters Louise Ritter with her husband Michael Sr. and Lorraine Garcia with her husband Stephen, Zet, Mike Scott; grandchildren Brittany Gilbert, Michael Ritter -Jr., Derek Ritter, Matthew Garcia, Grant Garcia and Hunter Scott; Maxine Huff and Corin Lesse sisters; Several nephews and nephews; And longtime friends and neighbors Gary and Elaine Wallace.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Cedar Ridge Nursing House and a very special provision of care, Tiffany Pulin.

The holiday of her life will be held on Friday, May 30, at 10:30 am at the Sirmet Valley Center, 19 Washburn Lane in Skowhegan. Lunch will follow immediately. At 2 pm the Christian funeral will be held at the Catholic Cemetery of Golgotha, located on North Avenue, Skuchegan.

I would like my mother’s memory to be happy. Of happy times. Laughing times. From bright and sunny days.
