NBA All -Star 2025: Times, Details, how to watch events over the weekend – The Dallas Morning News

All-Star Weekend goes to San Francisco this year for the NBA annual showcase in the middle of the season.

There are three nights at the court events, highlighted by the Rising Stars competition for first and second year players on Friday, Dunk and a 3-point competition on Saturday and then All-Star Game on Sunday.

Dallas Maverix will have a representative by hand, as Kiri Irving was selected as an injury to Anthony Davis.

This is a new format for the All-Star Game this year. Now it’s a mini-tour, with only 40 points reaching the matches.

Where to watch the events this weekend?

Mostly TNT and TRUTV. Here’s the Rundown (All Times Eastern):

Friday: All-Star Celebrity Game, 19:00 (ESPN); Rising Stars Competition, 21:00 (TNT, Trutv)

Saturday: NBA All-Star Practice, 14:00 (NBA TV); NBA HBCU Classic, 17:00 (NBA TV); All-Star Saturday night, 20:00 (TNT and Trutv)

Sunday: NBA All-Star Game, 20:00 (TNT and TRUTV)

Who are all the stars?

All-Stars are divided into three teams of eight players this year, prepared by TNT Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith analysts. The Rundown:

Team Chuck: Nikola Djokic from Denver, Oklahoma City’s Shay Gilgeuse-Alexander, winner of San Antonio Wanganyama, Pascal Siakam in Indiana, Alperon Segun in Houston, New York Carl-Antoni Town, Cleveland Donovan Mitchell, Atlanta Train Young. (Giannis antetokounmpo of Milwaukee had to play, but it could not because of the injury. Young replaced it in the game.)

Team Shaq: Lobron James of Los Angeles Lakers, Stephen Curry of Golden State, Kiri Erving of Dallas, Boston Jason Tatum and Jelan Brown, Kevin Durant, Damian Los Angeles Clippers. (Irving replaced Anthony Davis due to injury)

Team Kenny: Anthony Edwards of Minnesota, New York Jalen Brunson, Jaren Jackson, Jr. of Memphis, Jalen Williams of Oklahoma City, Cleveland teammates Darius Garland and Evan, Detroit Kadingham and Thaler of Miami Herro.

What is the All-Star Game format?

The NBA has made the All-Star game mini-tournament this year, with four teams playing games up to 40 points. There is no clock (except the shot clock) and no one breaks down.

The fourth team in the tournament will be the one who wins the Rising Stars race on Friday. For the purposes of All-Star Game, it will be called Team Candace, in honor of Candace Parker.

What are the betting favorites?

According to Betmgm Sportsbook, Team Shaq is the favorite All-Star of +155, just in front of Team Chuck (+165). Team Kenny is on +375 and Team Candace is on +650.

For the competition for skills, this is Team Cavs (Mitchell and Mobley) as favorites. They are on +200, just further than the team spurs (Wembanyama and Chris Paul, +225), Team Warriors (Draymond Green and Moses Moody, +275) and Team Rooks (Zaccharie Riston in Atlanta and Alex Sar 375).

And Lillard is preferred to win its third consecutive 3-point competition, with a coefficients of +400.
