Daytona Beach, FL – NASCAR has unveiled a new rule on Tuesday, which will award one point to the team and driver with the fastest single tour of each race.

The Fastest Tour of Xfinity was added as part of the NASCAR and XFinity contract renewal. The new deal awards a point for the fastest tour in all three NASCAR national series, continues the role of Xfinity as a sponsor of the second level series in 2025 and includes a perennial XFinity agreement to expand its premium partnership with the CUP series S

Indycar has a quick stratum rule, but it was removed in Formula 1 before this season.

“We are not only in the 11th year of our partnership. We are embarking on an updated relationship with NASCAR, filled with fresh energy and exciting opportunities to improve the competition of the track in a way that has never been made so far, “said Mat Lederer, Commission Vice President for partnership and brand commitment.
