Nancy Garland was born on June 17, 1940 in Borger, Texas, Maurin Cole Gross and Byron Roberts Gross. She died on Saturday, February 1, 2025

Nancy attended Frederick’s public schools, graduating from high school as salutory in 1958. She is active in people and travels throughout the country, singing in competitions.

Nancy held a bachelor of art from the University of Eastern New Mexico and Master of Education from the State University of Western Texas in Canyon. She was certified in marriage and family consultations at the Texas Women’s University.

Nancy has been a teacher and school advisor for 27 years and had a second career as an insurance agent representing the benefits of the retired Association of Teachers. She became a certified wise leader and founded WOW! – The wise elderly women – in 2001, which was a non -profit purpose dedicated to assisting elderly women to unleash their potential through workshops and retreats.

Nancy married Bobby Dwayne Coleman on June 7, 1958 in Frederick, Okla. They had two children, Brent Thomas and Brooke Renee. Brent married Sally Hendrix in 1988 and they have two children, William Bland (Will) and Brooke Elizabeth. Brooke Renee married Darrell Brownlow in 1987 and they have two children, Dustin and Jordan. Jordan is married to Cole Perry and they are expecting their first child in March.
