According to a basketball magazine in Miami-Dad, former assistant coach of the Hialeah Education Academy, Kelvin Rumf, has accepted the new position of the Basketball coach for the major boys with the Bulldogs.

Previously, Rumf served as a top assistant coach at Alex Garcia for the previous three years, as Garcia accepted the main coaching work at Slam Miami by the boy’s basketball.
Before he came to the Hialeah Education Academy in 2023, Rumf served as a basketball coach at the Miami Elder High School, where only one season with Stingarees continued.
Rumf made his name on the coaching scene in the South Florida area, where he founded the Aau Team BX3, which is an independent Miami -based program.
The Hialeah Education Academy ended the 2024-2025 season with a record of 17-9 and reached the regional quarterfinals before their season against the Westminster Academy.
The Hialeah Education Academy is a bright future, as they were led this season by 6’4 eighth -grader Josia Brooks, who is an average of 17.4 points per game and is already receiving offers from FIU and Florida.
