Hey, a lot happens in the city. We are weeks from the first signs of spring, and the city illuminates.
The Association in the center of Seattle is focused on the future, with the ideas of maintaining the city center lively and full of reasons to visit. Pierce County becomes creative with graffiti, bringing local artists to turn it into something fun to watch.
H Mart comes to Ballard and I hope it’s a food court involved. And finally – Drumlin returns. This is one of our places in the neighborhood, especially in the summer. We wander after seeing a movie in the comb. I’m excited to try the new menu.
Cirque du Soleil: Kooza
Now-March 16
Merimur Park
$ 55+
These shows are stunning. The first time I saw the performance of Cirque du Soleil, I spent all the time bouncing between Total Awe and a light panic for performers. How do they do this? Kooza It carries the same energy. Have you seen the wheel of death? It is just as intense as it sounds. Imagine two people who do tricks inside (and outside!) From two giant rotating wheels, refuting gravity and good meaning. This is a thrill.
Ronald K. Brown/Evidence
February 27-March, 8 pm
Meany Center for the Performing Arts
$ 10+
I haven’t seen Evidence, But it seems like one of those performances in which you leave to feel deep in your bones. Ronald K. Brown mixes African, modern and spiritual dance that looks powerful and moving. The New York Times He calls it, “the high energy works that joyfully weaves complex rhythms with a deep but lower spirituality.”
Asian comics: an evolution of the party to open art
March 7, 7:30 pm
Mopop
Age 21+
The new Asian comic book exhibition opens on March 8 and to celebrate, Mopop turns the museum into the forest of the lunar – expect glowing trees, great music and gloomy lighting. There is a night market with food from local chefs, a competition for cosplay and Anime Rae. Plus, the actual exhibit has more than 400 works from Japan, China, India and after.
Cocktail Week in Seattle
March 2-8
Different places in Seattle
Cocktail Week in Seattle is back for its sixth year, which means a week of barbell, inventive drinks and a whole event dedicated to sampling over 200 spirits. Cocktail Carnival (March 8) is the main attraction – consider cocktail carnival games, a bottle shop and a puppy to talk where you can drink your drink as you press adopters. Drink responsibly, moisturize, and may not make big decisions while using these drink to drink.
Seed change 2025
Wednesday, March 5, 6 pm
The Great Hall
$ 25+
I love when an event brings together great minds and good causes. This year, BRIDGERTON series The romantic writer Julia Quinn spoke with the defenders of the rights of women from Kenya, everyone in support of Landesa’s work on land ownership and gender equality. Plus, Quinn will sign books, which is a solid bonus.
Pink sweat $
Wednesday, March 5, 20:00
Moore Theater
$ 31.50+
If you are in the mood for the evening of slow jams and big feelings, that’s all. Pink Sweat $ (also known as David Bowden) is made of filth, writes songs from a teenager. He went a few years ago, and everyone I knew who went to have said it was incredible-hungry vocals and multifaceted music. I hope he plays this song!
