BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Emergency medical officials said at least six students who reported sick at a Baton Rouge charter school were treated Thursday.
According to 911, responders received a call from Geo Prep Mid-City Academy about someone who was sick in the nurse’s office. Upon arrival, the medical teams learned that there were many patients and another ward was requested.
A source reports that the students ate food.
Geo Prep’s vice principal said he had no comment at this time.
No further details are available on this incident.
Geo Prep Mid-City Academy is a tuition-free K-8 charter school in Baton Rouge located at 1900 Lobdell Boulevard.
