Multiple lanes of I -635 and SH 161 closed in Irving after a deadly crash, according to police – WFAA.com

Irving, Texas-Multiple sails to the east I-635 and the highway of the northern country 161 near the boulevard in Irving in Irving were closed on Wednesday afternoon after a deadly crash, police said.

According to a police station in Irving, both highways have closed canvases due to a deadly accident involving many vehicles.

Police said the service roads were still available, while traffic was diverted to Las Kolinas Boulevard from the State Highway 161 and MacArtater Boulevard from the I-635.

TXDOT cameras in the area show a large traffic archive with several emergency vehicles on the interstate. The number of people involved and the injuries information was not clear immediately. However, the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that one person was dead at the scene and two vehicles participated in the crash.
