After opening the season with losses to Gonzaga and Washington State, the women’s tennis of the Michigan State University recovered with another wins, beating Xavier by 4-3 and Western Virginia with 6-1. The Spartans are already 2-2 after an impressive win against the mountaineers.
“I know that this team is capable of many and we are just getting a little more softened and slightly more disciplined,” said senior coach Kim Bruno.
In the game of pairs of Michigan State won two of the three games, with the third game being unfinished, as the youngsters Matilde Morays and a red-sophomore with a red jersey Hannah quota led by 4-3.
The junior Issi scaller and a red-sophomore with a red T-shirt Oriana Parkins-Godwin defeated their opponents by 6-1, while senior lies vehlyvillenen and freshman Eli Blackford secured a 6-4 victory.

“I had the feeling that I was playing a good match on Friday, but at the end of the day she figured out how to beat me that day,” Morays said. “I was just happy that we won as a whole, so I’m just trying to focus on the match. I try to focus on the positive sides of my loss and carry it to the next game. “
Michigan State, which is now 2-2, will have a week of rest before seeking to continue its victorious series against Western Michigan and East Michigan on February 2 at the MSU Tennis Center.
