MPs arrest a man from a Baton Rouge -related firing, left 1 dead – Yahoo

Baton Rouge, La. (First Louisiana) – A second suspect was arrested in connection with a shooting that left one dead.

Sheriff’s office detectives in Eastern Baton Rouge were summoned to an apartment complex in the 13600 block of Kenor Avenue on December 16 for the reported shooting. The shots are reported to have been fired on both victims as they tried to unlock the front door.

One of the victims was found by MPs behind a nearby home on Metari Street. Life measures were taken, but later the victim was declared dead.

The deputies arrested 25 -year -old Johnny Johnson III and Annie Jarel, 24, during an investigation.

Johnson was arrested and booked at the parish prison in East Baton Rouge on charges of first -degree murder and attempted first January 15th murder.

Jerell was arrested and booked on February 17 on charges of first -degree murder -based murder attempt and first -degree murder principles. He was identified as a driver of Nissan Altima, seen in surveillance footage, touring the victim’s apartments. The surviving victim told investigators that Johnny had a close friend who was driving the car described.

The arrest documents are said to have been taken for questioning on February 6, during which he denied knowing that Johnson was in prison for his involvement in the crime. MEPs said Jarell had denied owning or Kara Nissan Altima, even though his mother told him to investigators that he had it.

Confirming a declaration said later Jarell admitted that he knew Johnson, but denied his participation in the shooting.
