Mount Sterling and Madison-Plains High School Veterans Day activities, ceremonies and programs are as follows:
• American Legion Post 417 Ladies Auxiliary, 27 Clark St., Mount Sterling, is hosting a dinner for veterans Nov. 10. Social hour begins at 5:00 PM, followed by dinner at 6:00 PM. Any veteran is welcome to bring a guest. Reservations are required; call Kim Stultz at (614) 657-9037 by November 5.
• American Legion Post 417 will hold a Veterans Day ceremony Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at Veterans Park, located next to the gazebo across from City Hall, 1 S. London St. Veterans planning to participate are asked to arrive at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
• Madison-Plains Local Schools is hosting a Veterans Day breakfast Nov. 11 in the high school gym, 800 Linson Rd., London. The breakfast is open to current and former military in the community. Breakfast will be served between 8:30 and 9 a.m., followed by a performance by the music department and a speech by Mark Mason, president of the Madison-Plains School Board and a member of the Air National Guard. Those planning to attend are asked to park behind the school building. The students will accompany the guests to the gym. RSVP by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
