Motorcyclist running by Fremont police dies in a standalone crash – AOL

(Kron) – A man who fled Fremont police on a stolen motorcycle on Saturday was killed after hitting the curb and fence and being thrown out of the bike, authorities said on Tuesday.

Fremont police officers were alerted at 3:30 pm to the stolen motorcycle from a registration plates near Stevenson Boulevard and Balentin Place. About 20 minutes later officer in a marked patrol car located on the motorcycle and initiates traffic stopping when the motorcycist turned to Nobel Drive to the south, Fremont PD said.

After the employee activates his emergency lights, the motorcycle has accelerated at high speed, authorities said. According to police, the employee deactivates the emergency lights and did not pursue the motorcycleist.

Shortly thereafter, the motorcyclist struck the curb and a Bunche Drive chain connection fence before being thrown out of the motorcycle, according to the Fremont PD trafficking department. Fremont’s police and fire service provided life -saving measures, but were ultimately unsuccessful. The motorcyclist was declared deceased at the scene.

The person has not yet been identified since Tuesday. The motorcycle was confirmed by Fremont PD to be stolen.

The incident marked the 13th fatal Fremonth trafficking in 2024.
