The house broke out and set fire to Yansi Street in the Talahasi Levi Park neighborhood early Sunday morning, which led to a death and jerking blocked, police and neighbors said.
The glass pieces were littered with the road in front of the house and were in the yards of the neighbors up to three homes. Investigators have placed numbered yellow markers for evidence to some of the debris. The home, which was still smoking at 11am, had a large charming crater in the front.
The woman identified herself as a resident Priscilla Walker, stood in front of a neighbor’s home and trembled. Family members began to arrive. Someone asked if they could take her something for her feet; Everything she wore was dark, wet socks.
“I don’t want to talk to anyone. I don’t know what to say,” she told a reporter, with tears.
Here’s what happened, according to a message about Tallahassee’s news, the Fire Service: Approximately 8:22 pm, the Talahasi Fire Service was sent to a structural fire on the street. The crews arrived on the spot and found a high fire coming from the residence.
During a search, a victim was found dead inside. The reason for the fire that the police refused to comment is currently under investigation. The service of the state fire marshal was on the spot.
Witnesses saw that smoke could be seen from the explosion as far as in the city center, and it was reflected around the Levy Park neighborhood.
“There was a very big boom that shook our house,” said neighbor Stu Pearson, who has lived on the other side of the street for four years. “I thought something had hit our house or maybe a transformer broke out.” Then I saw (fire) trucks go down the street. “
Walker is a “wonderful” man, he added, “I’m sure the neighborhood will come up with a way to help her.” Levy Park is on the other side of North Monroe Street from Lake Ella. Many homes in the neighborhood date back to the 40s.
Elijah Reed, who lives in the neighborhood, said he heard a “explosion” and looked out to see “white insulation falling on cars” parked outwards. “I saw flames coming out of the house and (Walker) was out,” he called for his son.
Police on the spot refused to say whether death was Walker’s son, Jeremy. Dustin Kleni, who stood on the other side of the grinding home, said Jeremy had worked for his landscaping business for the last six years.
“He would give you the shirt from his back,” Kleni said, adding that he was hardworking. “We had a rule for 10 feet,” he said, smiling. “You didn’t want to be on his way,” when he had a job, he tried to do it.

TPD responds to a worse morning fire
Earlier on Sunday, at 7:56, the Talahasi Fire Service responded to a structural fire located on Rachel Cooper Lane.
Firefighters arrived on the spot to find strong smoke and fire showing through the roof of a mobile home. The crews quickly made an internal attack and had fire under control.
TFD staff searched the structure for all potential residents and no one was found to be at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is in the process of investigation.
