LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Warm, breezy and sunny this Monday across the Southern Plains. Lubbock’s high temperature of 87 degrees was just three degrees shy of the record for the day.
More of this warm, stable weather will continue this week, with afternoon temperatures likely to remain in the mid to upper 80s through Thursday.
On the other hand, overnight lows will be cold as they fall into the mid 40s in northwestern communities and into the upper 40s in and around Lubbock.
Skies will be clear overnight, allowing for radiative cooling, where dry air, light winds and clear skies allow temperatures to drop near or below or over the region.
The sunny weather will continue until the end of the week.
