Moore Supports the proposed legislation for the protection of Chesapike Bay – Baltimore Fishboal

Governor Wes Moore puts his support behind the proposed legislation, which seeks to improve the quality of water on Chesapiq Bay, the support of regenerative agriculture and optimization of oyster aquaculture.

The Chesapike Bay legacy Act will create the Maryland Program in Ecologically engaged farming (LEEF) and a linked fund to support the environment from farmers.

According to the Bill, the Ministry of Natural Resources in Maryland may provide longer -term public leases for land for state agricultural land for farmers who use regenerative practices and traditions to create healthy soil.
