Monteiro wins a Win Over Buccaneers – OurSports Central hat trick

Sioux Falls, SD -Sioux Falls Stampede moved one step closer to the Clark Cup playoff with a 4-2 win over Des Moines Buccaneers. JJ Monteiro recorded his first trick for the US Hockey League, while Reed Varkoni scored his eleventh goal of the season. Waylan Eche gave a star performance in the door, making 23 saves to win his fourth victory.

The first half of the opening period was relatively unobstructed, with the strong door at both ends keeping the game to the brand 11:31. Before the first goal, Gus Thorpe of De Moyy released the gloves, but Matthew Grims on Stampede refused to engage. Both players received unsportsmanship penalties, leading to play 4 to 4. With the expiration of penalties, JJ Monteiro received the stamp on the board. After receiving the washer from the defender Alex Rybakov, Monteiro skated alone and picked up the washer around De Moin’s goalkeeper. At 14:22, De Moyin took his second penalty for the night. While the delayed punishment was called, Reed Varkoni forward took advantage of a shot from a shot of Noah Urnes by scoring the washer into a wide open net for his eleventh goal of the season. Philip Nordberg also recorded an assist in the play. Stampede carried the two goals in the first break, exceeding Buccaneers 16-11.

The pace slowed in the second period, with Siou Falls encountering problems with the punishment in the middle of the frame. At 8:23, Captain Austin Baker was called for boarding, and a minute later Joe McGrau joined him in the field, giving Des Moines 5-on-3 power. Buccaneers only took advantage of five seconds later, scoring their first goal of the night. At 14:21 Sioux Falls won his first power game of the game, but failed to convert. Stampede closed the period with another power game for the remaining 13 seconds of the period.

Inertia shifted in the third period, starting with a goal of the power of Monteiro. He diverted Joe McGrau’s shot, with Logan Renkovski also helping the play. Just over a minute later, Monteiro again struck another strength game, blowing a shot from the right point to finish his hat. Javon Moore and Sam Spehar provided assist. Prior to the last Zumer, De Mine was rated three more punishments, but Siu Falls failed to add to his lead. The highest criminal murder of the League was put to the test when McGrau was called for a clash at 10:15. While Stampede successfully killed the penalty shootout, Buccaneers managed to score their second goal shortly after. The rest of the game saw each team take another penalty, but the late Buccaneers goal was not enough to change the result, as Sioux Falls secured a 4-2 victory.

The stamp is ahead of Buccaneers 40-25.

Waylan Eche made his fifth start of the season, winning his fourth victory with 23 saves. Now he has a percentage .88 Save.

Sioux Falls and des Moines will face again this Friday at the Midameric Energy Company Reclex in De Moj. After the game, Stampede will return home to take the Sioux City muskets on the first night with a non -profit, presented by Federal Credit Union Bluestone.
