Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – Baton Rouge’s Mid City Gras parade will not roll on Sunday, February 23, due to rain at the forecast.
The organizers said this would be the first time the parade was not held on the day of the parade.
“It wasn’t rolling this weekend is disappointing, but I am proud to say that this is the first year we have not flagged on our planned date,” says Mid City Gras president, Leslie N. Gillland. “The Council monitors the time of the time for several days and examined all the options. I feel that we made the best decision for our participants. “
According to MID City Gras employees, they are working to develop a new plan and will provide an update in the coming days.
