Mia Rogers Pens Rookie Deal with Durham – Bdaily News

Cricket Durham has secured the signing of Kalitz’s guardian Maya Rogers on a two -year deal for a rookie, holding her at the club until the end of the 2026 season.

The 23-year-old, who has progressed on Berkshire’s path, joins Durham on a contract, starting on March 1.

Rogers made his professional debut in 2020 with Sunrisers, making eight list A and 12 T20 appearances.

She is currently studying at the University of Durham, where she captures the women’s team, Rogers also represents Berkshire, Kent and MCC.

She said, “Beyond, I’m excited to join the new level 1, created in Durham.

“This is an absolutely fulfilling dream of signing my first professional cricket contract on full -time and I am extremely grateful to Danny and Marcus for this opportunity.

“The squad and the environment that are built here is really exciting and I can’t wait to learn from everyone around me while contributing to what we are creating in the club.

“It’s really a special moment and I look forward to the season to start.”

Marcus North, director of cricket in Durham, added: “We are glad we strengthened our team with the addition of Mia.

“She has been around the group for a short time and fits in with the team very well.

“Mia will add depth to our wadding group and will offer competition behind the stumps and look forward to seeing how it goes through the next few years.”
