Methodist Fremont Health to offer discount blood screens – Fremont Tribune

In early February, the method Fremont Health will offer a discount blood screens that are open to the public.

The following screenings-which are done by the Fremont Health team on Fremont Health on the third floor of Health Park Plaza-will be offered on February 4, May 6, August 5 and November 4, from 7-9 in the morning:

  • Wellness blood profiles that provide a lipid panel check the function of the kidneys and liver and a screen for diabetes, anemia, infection and others ($ 40)
  • Thyroid stimulation test (TSH) that checks the thyroid function ($ 20)
  • A prostate -specific antigen (PSA) test that prostate cancer screens ($ 20)
  • Hemoglobin test (HBA1C or A1C) that measures the average blood sugar level in the last two to three months ($ 20)

For ideal screening results, a 10- to 12-hour post is recommended. If you are taking medication, take them on schedule unless otherwise said by your supplier. You can drink water or black coffee while starving. The screenings are not intended as a substitute for regular medical examinations. All tests are available with a reduced fee and cannot be charged through health insurance. Cash or personal checks will be accepted on the day of testing.
