The size of human beings has generally increased thanks to better health and nutrition, but more special, men have increased in size by twice the greater degree of women.
One of the authors of the study says that sexual selection in evolution can be a major factor.
In the past, the higher, more senior men tend to surpass younger men, gain more access to women and convey their genes.
Researchers have analyzed data from the World Health Organization for more than 100,000 people in 69 countries.
