Melanie Jarel Suurch, 77 – Port City Daily

Wilmington – Melanie Jarel Suurch, 77 -year -old, from Wilmington, North Carolina, died on February 2, 2025.

She was born in Wilmington, the daughter of North Carolina of Ralph Mills Jarel and Mildred Olivia Parker Jarel.

Melanie met with Wayne P. Swursz in 1968 at the Wilmington Police Department, where the two worked and married in June 1969.

Melanie has survived her husband Wayne P. Suurch; Daughter, Heather Liya Suurch and several of the family and friends.

The visit will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412

The funeral service will start at 2:00 pm on Saturday February 15, 2025 in the Cole’s Chapel with Pastor Duin Dickerson. The interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens of Oleander, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409.
