First lady Melania Trump, who is in Miami with President Donald Trump, visited the Niklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami this afternoon to open a new healing garden for patients and their families, NBC 6 reports.
The Morton and Linda Bushard Medicinal Garden at the hospital and the Esrick Dream Cardiac Treatment Foundation were discovered by the first lady.
Melania also visited some of the children on the floor of heart intensive care.
The US President’s wife told Miami media that it was because of the “generous donations of people like Morton and Linda Bushard, or Steve and Kiki Esrik of the Dream Foundation” that hospitals could offer more care and comfort to children who already are fighting to improve. “
“I thank all the generous donors for supporting the hospital and thank you to Jack and Barbara Niklaus for inviting me to be part of this special occasion. I hope the new garden brings the updated power to every child, “she added.
Meanwhile, President Trump is at the International University of Florida, where he is a speech aimed at the Venezuela crisis.
