MEETING CRIMES: Man charged with assault on elderly disabled man at chapel – WAFB

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Baton Rouge Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly assaulted a disabled elderly man at a chapel.

According to Capital Regions Crime Stoppers, William Joseph Breen III, 40, is wanted on charges of aggravated battery, institutional vandalism, cruelty to patients, aggravated criminal damage to property and aggravated burglary.

Authorities said Breen entered a religious chapel on Saturday night, Nov. 2, and began assaulting an 81-year-old disabled man who was inside. He allegedly hit the man with chairs, knees and hands.

Medical personnel assisted the victim.

Breen has a history of violent attacks, according to officials.
