Jet Rescue Air Liculance said the young patient and her mother were on board, along with four crew members. All six people on board were from Mexico.
The child has been treated in Philadelphia for a life -threatening condition and is transported home to Mexico, according to the Jet Rescue Air Shai Gold spokesman. The final destination of the flight was Tijuana after stopping in Missouri.
“When such an incident happens, it is shocking and surprising,” said G -N Gold. “All planes are maintained, not a penny is not spared because we know that our mission is so critical.”
Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro said at a press conference late on Friday that employees were expecting victims in this “terrible aviation disaster”.
“We know there will be a loss,” he said.
The aircraft is registered in Mexico. Jet Rescue is based in Mexico and has operations both there and in the US.
Mayor Cherele Parker said at a press conference that the victim information had not been known immediately, but several homes and vehicles were damaged.
“This is still an active scene in the investigation,” she said.
The door camera captured footage of the plane falling from the sky in a series of white and erupted in a fiery ball when it hits the land in a residential neighborhood near a shopping center and a major roadway.
“All we heard was a strong roar and we didn’t know where it came from. We just turned around and saw the Grand Schepe, “said Jim Quinn, the owner of the door camera.
The crash happened less than three miles from the Northeast Philadelphia airport, which mainly serves business jets and charter flights.
The aircraft, Learjet 55, quickly disappeared from the radar after flying out of the airport at 18.06 and climbed to an altitude of 1600 feet (487 meters). He was on his way to Springfield, Missouri and registered with a company operating like Med Jets, according to flight tracking flights.
The crash comes two days after the most deadly aviation disaster in the country for almost a quarter of a century.
An American Eagle Airplane, carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, collided in the middle of Wednesday night in Washington, Colombia County, with an army helicopter carrying three soldiers. There were no survivors in this crash.
President Donald Trump posted on the social media platform Truth Social, it was “so sad” to see the crash.
“More innocent souls got lost,” he said. “Our people are fully engaged.”
The aircraft crashed at a busy intersection near the Mall Roosevelt, an outdoor shopping center, where the first responders blocked the traffic and viewers crowded at an angle of the street in the Rhawnhurst residential district. The Emergency Management Office in Philadelphia said the roads were closed in the area.
The owner of the aircraft, Jet Rescue, provides global air ambulance services.
The National Transport Safety Council, which is investigating air crashes, said it collects information about the crash.
