McDonald’s manager has threatened a gun at Vero Beach Drive -thru through the wrong order – cw34.com

Vero Beach, Florida (CBS12) – A man was arrested after claiming to have threatened McDonald’s manager with a firearm during a dispute in driving at Vaco Beach.

The Sheriff of the Indian River Sheriff (IRCSO) said on Monday around 11:45 pm officers called a weapon call in McDonald’s.

McDonald’s manager told MPs that a client, later identified as Duran Gilbert, became argumentative on the wrong order and demanded a refund.

The manager said she had tried to solve the problem by offering additional food, but Gilbert insisted on a recovery. She suspected that Gilbert was trying to deceive her with an old receipt, but suggested Gilbert’s recovery. After providing the recovery, the victim said that Gilbert crashed into the driving window and directed a firearm with a green laser to her, causing her to be afraid of her life.

An employee of McDonald’s confirmed the verbal dispute, but told investigators IRCSO that he did not see the firearm.

The real -time crime center identifies a suspected vehicle based on the description of McDonald’s manager, leading MPs to the Gilbert residence. Gilbert was identified by both the manager and the employee and was then arrested.

A MP said Gilbert had read his rights to Miranda and confessed them, but refused to speak. However, the arrest MP said Gilbert was spoken in place and was involved in the verbal embarrassment.

The Gilbert’s vehicle was executed a search order, where a large green laser indicator was found, but no firearms were found. The 35-year-old was booked at the Indian River District Prison for an aggravated attack with a deadly weapon.
