Redshirt freshman Max Gilbert has won the battle for the placekicker position ahead of the 2024 football season for Tennessee.
The 6-foot, 200-pound kicker redshirted in 2023 and has appeared in all seven contests for the Vols through Week 8 in 2024.
Gilbert made 12 of 15 field goal attempts with a length of 45 yards against North Carolina State. He made a season-high three field goals at Oklahoma and earned SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Gilbert also made 31 of 31 extra point attempts. He has a total of 67 points this season.
