Kiri Irving and Daniel Gafford wore two different Snapback hats with the same message after winning the bulging over Chicago bulls on November 6, 2024.
“Protect 3Nergy,” says the hats with a smile shown on the right.
Nearly four months later, Dallas Maverix cooperates with the owner of “3Nergy forever” as part of their Afro -American heritage in the evening at the American Airlines Center.
Jordan Gidens, the owner and executive director of the Dallas -based 3Nergy Forever clothing brand, partnered with Mavericks to host a collection of capsules with a limited edition of his hats, hoods, sweatshirts and t -shirt Pelicans. Mavericks spread 500 hats with selected ticket packages on Friday, but their version had a distinction – the team logo replaced the Smiley face.
“This is a full circle for us,” said 31-year-old Giddings. “We have been Mavericks fans throughout our lives. My family has owners of seasonal tickets for 20, 30 years. This opportunity means everything to us. “
During the first time -up of the game on Friday, Mavericks emphasized his cooperation with Jumbotron’s “3Nergy Forever”. It was one of several activations throughout the festive night that celebrated the rich cultural contribution of the Afro -American community. Mavericks also hosted the marching group of the State University of Grambling, which presented itself at the half.
Giddings launched its brand with Jaylon Bonner, Vice President of Branding and Marketing, in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. Their mission was to create a clothing line that is rooted in distribution and promoting positive energy. The plus before “3Nergy” symbolizes positively, and # 3 is the Giddings T -shirt number throughout his basketball career. He plays in the Dallas Carter high school and Prairie View A & M University.
After Erving was traded on Mavericks in 2023, Giddings and Bonner created the goal of collaborating with nine-time All-Star because of their history of promoting brands of clothing with positive messages.
Giidings said Bonner had found an Irving address and sent a Mavericks Superstar hat, which later became a meeting with the entire Mavericks team. Gafford, Dereck Lively II and PJ Washington also supported Giddings and the Bonner brand.
“It was a statement. Kiri just brings nothing, “Giidings said. “When he puts on something, he really realizes what he carries. He really believes that. “
