Maryland and Chesapik Fishing Report – February 13, 2025 – On Water

Maryland and Chesapik Fishing Report – February 13, 2025 – On Water

Irregular temperatures of weather and cold water continue to make a fishing challenge for Maryland’s fishermen. The best bites that are happening in the Chesapik area at the moment are for striped bass and yellow perch, with the most reliable action for both fish coming from deep water. Most fishermen who chase striped bass, catch them around the mouth of the tidal rivers and in pockets of hot water, where the lures are collected, with 5- to 7-inch soft plastics. However, fishermen who carry the salt swamps around Ocean City also find some action, although the pace of water move between the upper 30s and the low 40. The yellow perch, on the other hand, began to run the rivers that feed on the bay, and the bite was red hot. The better action is reserved for deep water, so take your jigs and sinks and go out there until receiving is good.

By Ocean City, Taylor Bake from Always bent fishing OC He reports that fishing was difficult from late with water temperatures in the 1940s – it is still frostly enough to challenge a challenge. He and Captain Jeff from Bad habit of sports fishing I was able to find several strippers while fishing for local banks and swamps with soft plastics. Several fish here and there keep things interesting there, but Bakke hopes that they will be able to pick a little in the bite after we have been receiving a constant time in the 40th and 50s. In the meantime, look always betbent.com for local fishing reports, fishing videos and more.

Talking to the city is the yellow perch’s bite and New Maryland’s record for a yellow perch, which was caught last week, breaking a 46-year record. Most fishermen find the yellow perch at the mouth of the Suscahana River in about 30 to 60 feet of water, or holding from below, or hung only a few feet from the bottom. Living mining on a high-low platform or lower platform with lead sinking from 1 to 2 ounces is the key to reaching the perch in such deep water. Small metal jigs, platforms for two hooks Sabiki and small tandem platforms with micro plastics will also work.

Other fishermen pursue bass strip held south. Most find them staged around Calverta cliff’s power plant, while some of them were caught in open water just outside the mouth of the Choptank River.

Chesapeake Bay Fishing Prediction

Temperatures overnight will be immersed in the 20s and even teenagers in some parts of Maryland next week, which can temporarily close the enhancing bass bite in the bay. The good news is that winter time is not here to stay. After the short -term cold front moves through, fishing with striped bass will probably take exactly where it stopped. Kostur fishing should remain stable under cold conditions, but the fishing of deep water with small, slow-moving jigs or live minni will remain the best approach. With the temperatures that climb back in the 1940s to mid-next week, water temperatures will continue to rise continuously, especially in the tributaries of Chesapique and shallow, muddy salty swamps.

Combine, and the fish low and slow to continue to catch the cold. Grab them!
