The Tessier’s “Tessier building” was presented in the exhibition of the Capitol of the old state of Louisiana “the greatest celebrity of his time” in memory of the Marquis de Lafayette.

“The legend states that what we know today as the Tessier building in the center of Baton Rouge on Lafayet Street is where the Marquis congratulated Baton Rouge citizens during his short visit,” Daniel writes. “The home is owned by Judge Charles Theesier and built in the early 1800s, making it one of the oldest buildings in Baton Rouge.

“My love for architecture has aroused my interest in the history of the building where Lafayet may or may not have visited. Whether Lafayet steps into the thessierir building or not, the building is the architecture of the time of his visit. ”
