Mapped: Thousands still without power in Durham County after Storm Aewin – the northern echo

Thousands of properties in Bishop Auckland, Willington, Bowber, Krushev and some settlements in North Yorkshire are still experiencing power supply as the northern PowerGrid continues to work to correct problems.

A Northern Power Grid spokesman said: “Storm éowyn has influenced over 150,000 customers. Unfortunately, later today There is a stronger wind forecast, which can influence our ability to work at a height where the above -ground repairs are needed.

“As we continue to appreciate the damage, we provide our best look when we can restore power.

“If your recovery time says 23:00 today, we still appreciate or progress the necessary work. We will update customers as soon as we know a more accurate period of time. We hope to restore the power of most customers today.

“We regularly update the power cut card, with more accurate forecast times as soon as we succeed. The card gives the same information that is available to our contact center advisers. If you are not yet, please report your power to power online , this helps us to inform you and provide direct updates.

“We regret that some customers may be powerless for an extended period of time and we want to know that we are here to support you, 24/7.

“If you are in a dangerous situation, there is a risk to life, you are medically dependent on electricity or need additional maintenance, call us 105. If you have emergency medical attention, call 999 immediately.”

At that time, a spokesman for Durm and Darlington County Foundation NHS Foundy Trust said: “We can confirm that this morning the Chester-Le-State Hospital has experienced a power outage between 7:50 and 9:20.
