Mandelson strives to distance himself from past ‘children’ comments about Trump – Irvine Times

The Labor Grand Called G -N Trump “Danger to the World” and “a little less than a white nationalist and racist” several years ago.

He is now ready to take Dam Karen Pierce as the best diplomat in the UK in Washington, Lord Mandelson told the New York Times that he regrets his choice of words in past comments about the US president.

“In 2019, I was a little clear,” Lord Mandelson says in an interview.

“But nevertheless the words I used for the president were childish and wrong.”

But he said he stood in his “intellectual argument” of the rates he outlined in an option in 2018, arguing against Mr Trump’s trade policy and calling him a “bully and mercantilist.”

Lord Mandelson tried to play past comments about G -N Trump after Prime Minister Sir Kiir Starmer appointed him in December.

He praised Mr. Trump as a “nice man” and a “just man” who can become “one of the latest American presidents I know in my adult life” in an interview with Fox News last week.

The government is trying to build bridges with the Trump administration and release British goods from the global tariffs that the new president has threatened to impose.
