DEFOREST, Wis. (WKOW) — A man who was wanted after a shooting at a DeForest campground on Oct. 20 was booked into the Dane County Jail overnight.
Mycah K. Riggins, 33, was arrested late Wednesday night and booked early Thursday morning. He has already been charged with attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, knowingly fleeing an officer and resisting or obstructing.
Riggins was wanted in connection with a shooting that injured another man at a campsite earlier this month.
Officers were called to Camp Madison on County Highway V in DeForest around 10pm on October 20th.
Investigators determined two men had argued about something, and one pulled out a gun and shot the other several times in the lower body.
The man who was shot was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.
Riggins is the man accused of firing the gun. He had left when police arrived at the campsite.
