A man was killed and another seriously injured in a crash.
Three people have been arrested following the crash, which happened on Victoria Road at the A34 Six Ways roundabout in Aston, Birmingham, just before 23:45 GMT on Monday.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was a rear-seat passenger in a Ford Focus that was involved in a collision with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. One of the vehicles was stuck on the ceiling.
The passengers in the Mitsubishi left the scene but two men, aged 18 and 19, went to hospital later and were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A third man, aged 41, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has also been detained for questioning.
The force added that they believed “at least” one other person was traveling in the Mitsubishi and appealed for them to come forward.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said they attended the scene and found one of the vehicles on its roof.
A second passenger in the Ford was treated for serious injuries and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the service said.
It added that a third man was taken to the same hospital for treatment with injuries not believed to be serious.
Two other people in the car were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Officers said their thoughts were with the victim’s relatives and promised to do all they could to support them.
The roundabout was reopened to traffic at around 08:15 GMT on Tuesday, with Victoria Road remaining closed for an investigation.
Police asked anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them.
