Man dead after struck in North Las Vegas at the beginning of Saturday-Las Vegas Review-Journal

North Las Vegas police requested the public on Saturday afternoon as they were looking for a vehicle involved in a fatal strike accident.

According to a police station in North Las Vegas, a man died early on Saturday after being hit by a car on Lake Meid Boulevard and McCaran Street, south of Joe Kneap Park.

The incident happened shortly after 4 o’clock in the morning the police were looking for a beige grand from Mercury between 1998 and 2002.

The victim, who was declared dead at the scene, was trying to cross the Lake Meid Boulevard outside a marked pedestrian walkway, police said.

The vehicle may have damage to parts of its front passenger side and is probably missing, it is a mirror and a headlamp on the passenger’s side.

Police believe the speed is a factor in the incident. The victim’s identity has not been released since early Saturday afternoon.
