NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk police say a 28-year-old man has been charged with murder after a fatal shooting on Little Creek Road Saturday.

According to police, they were called to the Wawa on East Little Creek Road just before 6 a.m. Saturday for a gunshot victim. That man, 37-year-old Micah Bell, was taken to the hospital, where investigators say he later died.

Shortly after officers found Bell, police said a second gunshot victim was found at the Wawa on North Military Highway. The victim is expected to survive.

Investigators determined the two victims were related and that the shooting itself happened on East Little Creek Road near Halprin Drive.

Micquail Owens, 28, is charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm. Police say as of Sunday, Owens was still in the hospital with injuries, but was expected to be transported to the Norfolk City Jail and held without bond.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
