With deep sorrow, we announce the death of Madeline Fei (Heron) Miller on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the age of 77 at Camc Memorial Hospital in Charleston.
She was very loved and will miss her family a lot. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend for many.
Faye was born in Belington, West Virginia, on January 24, 1947, in the family of the late Forrest (Sparky) Benjamin and Gata Madeline (Kunz) Heron.
He graduated with the 1964 high school Philip Barber High School.
On January 23, 1966, she married Gareth (Gary) Neil Miller and raised two children to be strong and independent.
She was a former owner and operator of Shawnee Mountaineer restaurant.
In 1991, they moved to Stirling, Virginia, where she worked for the Fairfax County State Schools and retired after 21 years of service.
In 2013, they returned to West Virginia to enjoy their retirement with family and friends.
Faye was a loyal member of the Golgotha Missionary Church, where he served as a secretary and guardian. She was a member of Laurel Mountain Post 410 VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Tygart Valley Rebekah Lodge 181.
Her love had no limits, as she always set the needs of others before her. She had the most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. She was a fighter, defeated breast cancer, thyroid cancer, and never allowed it to disappoint her.
Fay loved to spend time with his grandchildren, travel, look for words with friends, and rarely misses a day to watch Gunsmoke and his favorite soap operas.
Left to keep her memory are 58-year-old husband Gary Miller; Son, Jeffrey Neil Miller and wife, Sally, from Charleston, South Carolina; daughter Kelly Fei Lowers and husband Britt of Chesapik, Virginia; grandchildren, Gunnar Dale Dale Miller of Elizabeth, West Virginia, Hannah Fay Lowry, Hayden Briton Laurie, Heidi Ann Lowuri and Harmon Neil Laurie of Chesapike, Virginia, and Colton Patrick Miller of Charleston, South Carolina; one great -granddaughter; And two sisters, Judy Lynn Freeman and Wayne of Leo, Indiana, and Diane Shahan and Alfred of Belington.

Friends will be welcomed by the Talbott funeral home, N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 5am to 9pm and again on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 8am to 1 in the afternoon , the time of the funeral, when the last rites of the funeral chapel with Pastor Johnny Paul Williams II will be performed.
