Key accents:

  • Kohl’s closes 27 stores across the country due to insufficient performance.
  • The Boise store in the mall Towne Square is among the exclusion.
  • About 200 employees will be affected by compensation or relocation options.
  • The Kohl e -commerce distribution center is also closed.

A national retailer has announced earlier this month that it will exclude 27 of its seats by April this year, including a place in Boise.

The University of Kohl indicated the insufficient implementation as a decision to close 27 stores by the beginning of the second quarter, stating that it would affect about 200 employees. The location in the mall Towne Square of 400 N. Milwaukee Street in Boise is one of the stores that need to be closed.

The chain plans to keep other places throughout the country. Coeur d’Alene has Kohl’s, Idaho Falls, Meridian, Nama and Twin Falls. The company manages 1150 seats.

“We always take these decisions very seriously,” said Tom Kingsbury, a former CEO. “As we continue to upgrade our long -term growth strategy, it is important to take difficult but necessary actions to support the health and future of our business for our clients and our teams.”

Employees were informed about the closure or compensation package or the opportunity to apply for open roles in other KOHL stores.

In addition to closing stores, the company closes one of 15 e -commerce distribution facilities in San Bernadino, California.

Other closures include one place in Alabama, one in Arkansas, 10 in California, one in Colorado, one in Georgia, two in Illinois, one in Massachusetts, one in New Jersey, two in Ohio, one in Oregon, one in Pennsylvania, one In Texas, one in Utah and two in Virginia.
