MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) — Madison City Schools has provided an update on the condition of a security guard injured after being hit by a vehicle earlier this month.
Madison Police told News 19 earlier this month that Terri Perdue was struck by a vehicle while working as a crossing guard at West Madison Pre-K on October 18th. Perdue was initially taken to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition.

Now school system leaders say Perdue is doing much better. Superintendent Dr. Ed Nichols announced at Monday’s regular school board meeting that Perdue has improved and has been released from the hospital and moved to a rehabilitation center.
Tracy Reinhardt, a transportation specialist with Madison City Schools and a friend of the Perdue family set up a GoFundMe to help the family with expenses last week. You can find a link to that GoFundMe here.
