Lubbock Cultural Arts Foundation to host Buffalo Grass Fest – FOX 34

Lubbock, Texas (News message) – The Buffalo Grass Fest is an event created by the Texas Friendly Community Program, which certifies Lubbock as a 2020 music community. The Lubbock Advisory Committee has taken this acknowledgment of creating meaningful and fun programs for music education and development through The last four years. Buffalo Grass Fest is a unique hybrid music event. A conference of part and part of the concert, the event includes a different topic each year for both seminars and music genres.

Buffalo Grass Fest will be held on February 23 and 24th in LHUCA. The public part will be Sunday on February 23, for which tickets are now being sold. Outreach portions, in partnership with Lubbock Isd Fine Arts and Texas Tech University School of Music, will be held on Monday on February 24th.

This year the educational topic presented will be: the amplification of your voice. The seminars will consist of panels and presentations designed to teach participants the importance of the radio and the podcast industry to extract music. Radio has always been a key element for a successful music career. Podists also allow listeners to learn about musicians and their music. These workshops will participate from locals, including: Jenny Dale Lord, junior rebel, Jen Martinez, Derrick Ginter, Jason Robertson and Sean Dylan. The main note for dinner will be delivered by Eric Raines, which is known in the field and hosts the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards, held annually in Arlington, Texas. Dinner will be served by Chez Sami.

For young people this year, the sessions will be guided by the Symphony Orchestra Lubbock, Kea Beasley Education Coordinator, who will share an idea of ​​a career in music and the way students can use to pay for their education if they decide to attend college.

The event will also have cabins for colleges to show local universities and colleges in the Community to answer questions and talk to students about the steps after high school.

The session and the window of jam is an important part of this unique event. Allowing musicians to register while registering to participate in a session with local musicians in the area who will make up the back line is a unique opportunity for the songwriter, students and emerging artists in the community to have a chance to share their talents.
