LSU baseball loses its first match of Omaha season, 5-4 in game two of the series – WBRZ

Baton Rouge – The double head of Saturday against Omaha was not the most impressive of the LSU baseball performances.

The tigers face Maverix at noon on Saturday for the second game of the series and went to a very slow start offensive.

In the first two LSU submission, the bases of walks and strokes from the grounds, but they failed to mark the running away from it.

Junior RHP Anthony Ayrenson started the game of the mound and was holding his second launch for LSU. Eyanson threw six passes and allowed three hits, no runways, two walks and hit seven tests.

Grant Fonttenot walked in to relieve Eiranson in the seventh Inning, but he did not last long when he struck the only two tests he encountered with terrains. From there, the tigers brought to Connor Benj with runners in a seventh assessment position.

During the first three terrains of Benj, two tracks scored when Eli Huerner fed to the left field, and Trent Burchalter scored the first performance of Mavericks in the game. Shortly thereafter, Benj threw a wild terrain that allowed Drew Borner to score with anyone out. After Benj struck two in a row, Jackson’s trout hit three running three running on the left field on the first pitch of the bat. From there, Omaha scored five tracks in the seventh Innning.

In order for the tigers to remain unbeaten, the LSU bats had to continue, as during the first seven passes were carefree. Ashton Larson managed to get the first hit on LSU Day with one to the right central field, but the tigers left an inning without tracks to show it.

The freshman Cooper Williams closed the game, allowing a hit or running until he knew a crushing, and Tiger’s defense managed to present five tests.

At the bottom of the ninth Inning tigers, they finally come to life on the plate. Chief coach Jay Johnson obeyed several flowers and he paid off.

Tanner Reeves Single, and Jake Brown followed him with a double to get the tigers into a point of view. Ryan Costello was going to load LSU bases with anyone out. Then Daniel Dickinson really shot the box with 2 RBI double on the left line of the field to place LSU on the board. However, they were still falling 5-2, but had runners on the second and third base, without anyone.

From there, Derek Couriel was going to recharge the bases again, with no one out with Jared Jones coming on the plate. Jones single on the left field to reduce the lead to two when Costello reaches his home for 5-3 scores in the final intent.

The basics are still loaded without anyone when Josh Pearson comes to the plate. Pearson took off, but this allows Dickinson to mark and score and this is a game with a ball.

However, Stephen Milahane took off for the last chance of the Tigers and the Tigers lost their first match of season 5-4.
